All-China or International Badminton Tournament

An international tournament became a national event? It probably was a joke. But it was true.

Good Luck Beijing 2007 International Badminton Invitational Tournament got underway as a test event for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games at the Beijing University of Technology in Beijing. The Olympic badminton matches will be held there.

It’s a very good chance for the badminton players worldwide to know the venue and its facilities. But unfortunately, most of them invited withdrew from the event except for Nguyen Tien Minh (men’s singles) from Vietnam. The famous Pi Hongyan was one of them.

You know why? Because most of the players are hungry to get more credits in order to earn their Olympic place. It may be helpful to know the venue to improve their Olympic performance. But it is less important than world ranking points. They prefer to save energy to take part in other tournaments that brings them points. If a player fails to enter Olympic Games, the venue has nothing to do with him. An excellent article Olympic year—what does it mean described this.

OK, so much for this.

Lin Dan, Zhu Lin and Nguyen Tien Minh are all satisfied with the new venue. You know, air-conditioning and wind can affect Badminton seriously. According to introduction of Mr Zhang Ailin, the design of the stadium made the draught “well-controlled.”

Oh, have I told you the most exciting feature of it?

The wind will be blowing under your seat when you watch badminton games in the stadium. The temperature will be 78.8F inside it in the hottest days next summer. Also for the players, the speed of wind will be less than 2 meters per second.
Wonderful, isn’t it?

I am certain that you are eager to see the venue. No need to wait, here comes. Is the last photo like a shuttlecock? See the photoes: Does the Badminton Stadium for Olympic Games Look like a Badminton Shuttlecock
